In order to distinguish whether or not you have Sleep Apnoea, you can undertake a Sleep Study. This can be done either through the NHS, or quickly and conveniently, through Intus Healthcare. If you complete the Sleep Study, and the results come back positive for Sleep Apnoea, there is treatment available. The most effective treatment is CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure). However, you do not need to worry about CPAP until you have completed a Sleep Study and received an accurate diagnosis.

Which Study?

There are TWO options of Sleep Studies to choose from. Both of these can be completed in the comfort of your own home.

The first is ‘Finger Pulse Oximetry’ study. This monitors your heart rate and blood oxygen levels throughout the night. It will also come with a detailed questionnaire for you to complete, in order to assist with potential diagnosis of Sleep Apnoea.

The second option is the ‘Multi-Channel Respiratory’ study. As well as measuring your heart rate and blood oxygen levels, this test also monitors chest resistance, respiratory flow, body position and other data channels, and therefore is the more thorough and in depth option. This test will also come with a detailed questionnaire for you to complete, in order to assist with potential diagnosis of Sleep Apnoea.

The ‘Multi-Channel Respiratory’ is the ONLY option for anybody with a BMI LESS THAN 25 or MORE THAN 40.

Results from your Sleep Study can be processed within 7-10 days; in a fast, confidential, convenient and expert way. Sleep is such an important and invaluable part of your life. Get the help and treatment you need to transform your life back to its full and energetic past.
