Tackle red marks and skin irritation with the SoClean 2 sanitiser

If you’re experiencing red marks and skin irritation from your CPAP mask, it is likely to be caused by bacteria. Over time, the mask material begins to degrade, creating microscopic pockets that are a perfect home for bacteria. Even the most thorough cleaning is unlikely to remove all of the bacteria, and so even a visibly clean mask can be home to bacteria and cause you to wake up with red marks and skin irritation. The solution to this, is to use a sanitising unit.

Keep your CPAP equipment free of bacteria with SoClean 2

The SoClean 2 kills 99.9% of CPAP germs and bacteria in the mask, hose and reservoir with no water, no chemicals and no disassembly needed.

When using CPAP, all of the air entering your lungs first travels through your machine, tube and mask. SoClean is the simple way to sanitise all of your equipment, ensuring it is hygienic and odour-free.

While mask cleaning is relatively easy, keeping the machine and tubing bacteria-free is far less so. However, SoClean makes a near-impossible task into a simple part of your routine cleaning. It takes a minute to start the cleaning process, and you can then leave the SoClean to sanitise your equipment. You can then use your CPAP that night knowing it is clean, sanitised, and odour-free.

The SoClean CPAP cleaner and sanitizing machine uses activated oxygen cleaning to eliminate any germs and bacteria that may be lingering in your home CPAP machine.

SoClean 2 Features:

  • Sleek design and tiny footprint of just 11 inches x 11 inches (28 cm x 28 cm)
  • LCD display
  • Indicator lights throughout the cycle
  • Left or right hose insertion option

So far so good. So far the machine works as expected from the info.

Sleep easy with it. Expensive. But I keep thinking, if I am breathing ‘dirty, contaminated air deep into my lungs, then that cannot be good. So I sleep easier knowing the air going into my lungs is healthier. Look, it is expensive but I am paying for long term health and my laziness ( because too busy to follow the cleaning regime recommended by Resmed). I think it’s better than other products as also cleans the hose and reservoir. I find it super easy and quick to use BUT I hate the smell! Luckily after a month getting used to it now. NB this is a GENUINE reviewer!

SOCLEAN2 CPAP Cleaner. Had this over a week now an used it every day. Once set up it’s just a case of dropping in the mask and pressing a button or leaving it the the timer to kick in the choice is yours. Leaves the mask with a clean fresh medical smell . I now get the nights sleep I used to get when I first had my CPAP machine 4 years ago.

According to my clinic you don’t need this machine but my advice is if you can afford it get one, whilst not cheap buying it VAT Free certainly helps justify the cost.

Very convenient sanitiser. This is a useful device for sanitising my CPAP system. It simply attaches to the CPAP machine although I understand you need an adaptor if you use a humidifier. There are videos that show this. It is so convenient to just pop the headgear into the chamber, press the start button and leave it. It runs for about 10 minutes, there is a waiting time of a couple of hours while the ozone works its magic so it is no good leaving it ’til bedtime to use it. I do mine in the morning. It does not eliminate the need to wipe the facial grease and oil residues from the mask cushion but it is really convenient for the rest of the equipment. It is bigger than I expected at h23 x w16 x d17cm so it sits on the floor next to the bed. (I didn’t know what to expect really) It wont fit on the night stand next to the CPAP itself. There is a light but not unpleasant odour of ozone in the mask.

Must have. Every cpap user must have one. Very practical and extremely easy to use after the initial setup, saves time and makes cleaning/hygienic issues as simple as a single move.

Generally good.. Arrived promptly. The adaptor needed to make it work with whatever CPAP machine you’ve got costs an extra £20 – but is essential. Takes around 30 mins. to set it up and elderly users would probably struggle with aspects (‘threading’ the rubber hose inside the water container without tools etc.) but otherwise all good.

I’ve only had it 2 weeks, so cannot comment on reliability and the question about “comfort” is obviously generic as is plainly not applicable. The Ozone producing process only takes 15 mins. and it is probably virtually sterile after that, but there is a bit of H&S built into the purge system whereby the full cycle takes 3 hours, which is probably overkill. I can’t say that I feel any healthier for having used it after ‘sterilisation’ but it’s probably worth the £270 or so for a Placebo effect, if nothing else.

NB. Check the dimensions, as it’s quite bulky and would be difficult to travel (eg. Overseas) with it.

Works well, but baffled during install,. I bit the bullet and bought it along with an adaptor#5 to fit my Philips System One with humidifier. I received it promptly, but when I came to install the instructions were multilingual, big time, I unfolded a piece of paper the size of a newspaper, written in many languages, I eventually found the English instructions about the size of a strip cartoon, I cut off the excess to minimise confusion, just keeping the English bit. Would it cost the manufacturers that much to produce separate manuals for each language?

When I came to fit the adaptor to mate with my CPAP machine, I couldn’t work out where all the bits were meant to go, after about an hour I found that not all the bits supplied in adaptor kit#5 were for my machine, I eventually discovered that the biggest part of the adaptor kit was not for my machine, all my machine required was a length of rubber tube about 10 cms long with a tiny plastic collar on the end. When I discovered that I had paid £19.99 for this tube and tiny bit of plastic, I was not best pleased, hence my low rating for value for money.

Hey Ho, it works now and seems to do what it’s supposed to, and if it continues to work well for longer I might have given a better review, but what can you expect after only two week’s use?

Efficient but with problems. When using the product its easy. easy to set up also. The downside is the after smell on the facemask, not sure what it is but not great at first. I have tried it on several hoses and masks and the same smell is there. Thus I am unsure as to the quality of the product.

100% satisfied. I bought this after I got a chest infection over the Xmas period it was easy to set up and use one thing is the setting controls are at the bottom. If they release a new one put he controls at the top

    Pete

100% satisfied. Easy to use and easy to set-up

SoClean, yes or no?. For me , I’ve been using it for a few weeks now, no question its a Yes. Easy to set up and use with my CPAP and humidifier, convenient downtime storage as well as clean and ready to use each night, all done by timer which suits me down to the ground. Like it a lot 🙂

    Wullie

So clean. This machine if it does it’s job as said and kills all germs is amazing but we can’t see what it kills and can’t see what it doesn’t. What I do know is that it switches on when I’ve set it and it goes through a cycle and there is a slight odour that you do get used too.
