AirFit F30 Full Face CPAP Mask from ResMed

SKU64114 64115

The AirFit F30 Full Face CPAP Mask is ResMed’s first minimal-contact CPAP mask. It uses a similar concept to the Amara View and DreamWear Full Face masks from Philips; combining an oral cushion over the mouth with a smaller one sitting underneath, rather than around, the nose. This aims to reduce leakage and skin damage, increasing comfort and CPAP success.

If you have not used this mask before – Please print the sizing guide. Please do not assume which size you need. A video is also provided in the image gallery to ensure you get the best fit.

AirFit F30 – ResMed’s first minimal-contact full-face CPAP mask

The AirFit F30 Full Face CPAP Mask is ResMed’s first minimal-contact CPAP mask. It uses a similar concept to the Amara View and DreamWear Full Face masks from Philips, combining an oral cushion over the mouth with a smaller one sitting underneath, rather than around, the nose.

This approach has several benefits; firstly, it removes any contact from the nasal bridge. The nasal bridge is among the most troublesome areas for mask leakage and also for skin damage and marks from the mask. Positioning the cushion under the nose instead helps to tackle both issues. The nasal bridge is bone, whereas under the nose is cartilage, providing more “give” to enable the mask to seal comfortably and effectively.

The other benefit of this design is keeping your field of vision clear. This is particularly beneficial for those who wear glasses or who experience claustrophobia when wearing a CPAP mask.

AirFit F30 – the lightest full-face CPAP mask

The AirFit F30’s smaller frame also makes it lightweight; the frame and cushion weigh 50% less than the AirFit F20 (45 grams to 92). This allows you to sleep more naturally while on your side, with less weight pulling down. At the time of writing (February 2019) it is the lightest full-face CPAP mask available.

The padded headgear is similarly designed to make the mask less noticeable and, therefore, encourage natural sleep. The headgear uses magnetic clips to make it easy to remove and apply the mask – you can simply “set and forget” the straps once adjusted. Please note that the magnetic clips make this mask unsuitable if you wear a pacemaker. ResMed provides all sizes of this mask with the standard size of headgear; it is also available in small or large if required. Alternative headgear sizes must be purchased separately and cannot be swapped.

The AirFit F30 uses ResMed’s “QuietAir” diffuser, which releases exhaled air through many small holes rather than a few larger ones. This is intended to reduce the noise of exhaled air and reduce the jets, which can be disturbing to those sleeping nearby. ResMed’s testing found this design to be 89% quieter than their previous. The diffuser is also a quick-release, allowing you to disconnect the CPAP tubing easily when required.

Sizing your ResMed AirFit F30

1) To determine your cushion size (small or medium), click here to download the AirFit F30 full face mask fitting template. Print it to size and trim it from the paper.

2) Standing in front of a mirror, hold the template horizontally in front of your face and place it under your nose. Make sure it’s directly under the nostrils rather than on the top of the nose.

3) Select the matching cushion size (small or medium) based on where the outer edge of your nostrils contacts the template. Cushion size is based on the width of your nose (rather than its length).

4) If the width of your nose breaches the template margins, size up to a medium.

Mask Fit Insurance is available for this mask

If you are considering trying this mask for the first time, you can order in confidence using Mask Fit Insurance.

Mask Fit Insurance costs £14.99 for nasal masks and £19.99 for full face masks, and allows you to return this mask for a refund if unsuitable.

You have 28 days from the dispatch date to assess the mask and notify us that you are unhappy with it for any reason. You can return it and have it refunded (we must receive it back within 7 days of being notified).

The fee for the insurance is non-refundable once the mask is opened, as are any outgoing postage costs. The mask itself will be refunded in full.

A pre-paid returns label will be included for customers in the UK. We strongly recommend getting a proof of postage (which is free) as returns not received cannot be refunded. For overseas customers, the return postage will need to be arranged by the customer and this cannot be reimbursed.

CPAP masks purchased without insurance cannot be returned/refunded once opened for hygiene reasons, as explained in our returns policy.

Mask Fit Insurance must be ordered at the same time as the mask in question, and cannot be added retroactively.

Intus Healthcare reserve the right not to honour any orders containing multiple masks purchased with Insurance; please instead choose which mask you feel is most suitable and select the size required as per the sizing gauge (if applicable). Should you subsequently determine a different mask or size is required, you can of course return the first and order the other.

If you need any further information, please use the chat function (if available), or contact us.
