Somnofit MAD – a less invasive option for treating snoring and mild OSA

24% of the UK suffer from SAD or Winter Blues

The Somnofit Mandibular Advancement Device is an anti-snoring and mild OSA treatment method. The proven-to-work device gently moves the lower jaw forward while you sleep. This technique opens the throat for airflow, reducing the risk of an obstruction.

Numerous clinical studies support the Somnofit; it consists of two oral mouldings: one for the upper jaw and one for the lower. The moulds need to be heated in water to soften (thermoforming) and then bitten to create a tailored fit for your teeth. The process is quick and simple.

A strap connects the two moulds to keep them aligned to ensure that the lower jaw cannot be pulled downwards to remain in position for optimal airflow.

The device includes six straps of various lengths, so gently titrate the lower jaw forward to find the best and most comfortable advancement size. You can ease your jaw’s muscles into this new position by gently increasing this forward repositioning over several days or weeks.

The Somnofit is engineered and manufactured by Oscimed SA. In 2008, they were awarded the ISO 13485:2003 certificate for their outstanding quality management systems for developing, manufacturing and selling medical devices and other healthcare products.
